One of the most critical marketing strategies for an internet business or to create an online experience for your storefront small business is the creation of a strong, consistent, relevant brand identity. Competition in the market place demands reputation credibility, a strong brand identity conveys that to your customers. To ensure the highest investment return, highest search ranking, and distinct identification from your global competitors. Potential and existing clients recognizing your brand is essential.
A strong brand identity will not only help your customers recognize you of out the crowd, but also provide the critical credibility link that will make them seek your business out from the billions of other choices available on the Internet. Solid brand identities build high market recognition and strong reputations. Online and offline branding consistency helps your clients recognize you and establishes opportunities to reach a market exponentially larger than that of your current market reach. An established business in a successful regional market can explode within the global arena with a fresh presence for a entirely new audience and recognized as a reputable business by loyal customers. An online presence can also facilitate introductions of new products or services to grow your business even more.
More than insuring your logo, fonts, and color scheme is used consistently in print ads and any marketing/collateral material, your online identity should also be consistent on all social networking sites. It is easy for a client or potential client to not recognize your business when your online presence does not have the same feel, look, and voice as your offline one. The strong branding identity and reputation you have established offline MUST follow through to your online presents as well.
If you do not have an offline business, a strong brand identity is more critical than ever with no other client venue to fall back on. Social networking sites and blogs are valuable assets for communicating who you are and what you offer over others in your field.
With only a moment to create a credible impression and to assert your business reputation ahead of your competitors, establishing consistency within a strong brand identity is today’s criteria in successful businesses, online and off.

Above is just a quick cell phone shot of my screen showing a new identity and stationary package, in a cool retro look.
